Goldsmiths Student Union Awards

2 weeks ago, I had the pleasure of accepting the award for Best New Society at the Goldsmiths Student Union Awards. 

The award was for the work and achievements The Equity Award Society has achieved over this academic year. As being a new society, focused on social equity and increase in social capital it’s nice to see our achievements being reflected in an award. The society was set up to support students who receive the Goldsmiths Equity Award, in a student way. 

The society was set up by students for students by Me Chenal S and Alexander Victor Morley 

Now we are at an amazing standing, I’m so excited to be handing the baton on to Chenal S to run the society next year, as I leave. I am also glad to also announce that Omar Elsaaidi and Alexandra Ramsey Evans will be joining Chenal on the committee. 

Well done everyone for your achievements this year and I look forward to seeing what the society does next year.
