Graduation 2025

I’m really proud to share that I have finally officially graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, with an undergraduate BMus Degree in Music. 🥳✨

Over the past few years, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with amazing lecturers, collaborate with all my amazing peers, and form friendships I will carry for the rest of my life. From running and hosting my own research projects, interviewing people on their amazing accomplishments, working on the Alchemy programme teaching young people music and assisting with the running of the programme, being an Equity Scholar, setting up a society to assist help my fellow Equity Scholar’s through University and winning “The Best New Society” award, WOW I really have done a lot. 

A massive special thank to Dr Marl'ene Edwin SFHEA who has guided and helped me throughout my 3 years. It was really a privilege to have you read my name out as I graduated 🥰

Looking ahead, I am really excited to announce that I will be completing my PhD back at Goldsmiths Uni under the supervision of Farzana Shain. I will be continuing my research into black musicians by examining whether the state education system plays a part in their exclusion from history. 

Thank you to everyone who has helped and guided me through the past 3 years, and here’s to the next, when I’ll be Dr Johnson 😉😎
